Protect Tennessee Patients.
Stop the Big Pharma Price Hike.
Tennesseans didn't ask for this bill. Washington’s pharmaceutical lobbyists did.
Senate Bill 2040 was sold to lawmakers as "pharmacy reform." It's not. It's a payout to Big Pharma that will close Tennessee pharmacies, drive up prescription prices, and punish the veterans, seniors, and rural families who can least afford it.

SB 2040 doesn't lower the price of a single medication. It doesn't touch the sticker prices drug manufacturers set behind closed doors. What it does is wipe out competition in Tennessee's pharmacy market — and when competition disappears, drug companies win and patients pay the difference.
Governor Lee has a decision to make. He can stand with Tennessee families, or he can sign a bill written to protect the profits of some of the wealthiest corporations in the world.
WHO THIS BILL HURTS
Our Veterans: More than 122,000 Tennessee veterans and their families rely on the mail-order and specialty pharmacy benefits they earned through their service. SB 2040 takes those options away. Washington already falls short on veteran care. Nashville shouldn't follow suit.
Rural Tennessee: From Dyer County to Johnson County, rural families already drive too far for basic health care. SB 2040 will speed up pharmacy closures in the communities that can least absorb them. For a lot of small towns, the nearest prescription counter could become a 40-mile round trip.
Seniors on Fixed Incomes: Home delivery isn't a luxury for seniors with limited mobility, but SB 2040 threatens to take that necessity away.
Working Families:. Parents working two jobs shouldn't have to burn a lunch break standing in a pharmacy line when their prescriptions could be shipped to the door. SB 2040 takes that convenience away and the savings that come with it.
Patients Fighting Serious Illness: Cancer patients, transplant recipients, and families managing chronic conditions depend on specialty pharmacies for medications local shops simply don't stock. SB 2040 cuts off that pipeline.
